In response to a growing need to reverse the play deficit among young children, Family Child Care at Its Best’s Power of Play workshop empowers home-based providers with the tools and knowledge to champion play as the primary way children learn and grow. This engaging five-hour workshop explores the central role of play in childhood development and learning, helping providers create meaningful experiences that support every childâs growth.

During The Power of Play workshop, home-based providers will:
- Experience and define play in interactive ways.
- Recognize the importance of play for young childrenâs development and learning.
- Discover the benefits of play with loose parts, encouraging creativity and exploration.
- Explore strategies to promote play within family child care and family, friend, or neighbor environments.
- Identify ways to support families in understanding the value of play in their childâs life.
