Child Care Means Business 201 Session 1: Contracts and Policies

Prospective Licensees, newly licensed Family Home Child Care Providers, and experienced Family Home Child Care Providers are invited to learn about key considerations when writing a Contract and Policy Handbook.

Participants will become familiar with key business practices such as:
• How to Be Friendly While You Keep it Business
• The Importance of Clear Communication
• What to Consider When Writing Your Family Home Child Care Contract
• What to Consider When Writing Your Child Care Program Policies
• Enforcing Your Family Home Child Care Contract and Policies

Learning Objectives:
• Participants will become familiar with the purpose of Contracts and Policies
• Participants will learn the key elements of a Child Care Program Contract
• Participants will become familiar with what to consider before creating their Child Care Program’s Policy Handbook

Participants who complete this training will receive a copy of Tom Copeland’s Contracts and Policies in a digital or hard copy format.
This text includes sample contract and policies language.
