Understanding the Benefits of Mindfulness in Healing Trauma: 2 Part Series!

Meditation and mindfulness can be useful tools in helping children heal from  trauma but can also exacerbate symptoms of traumatic stress.   On December 1st and 15th, participants will learn both the benefits of mindfulness practices in working with children who have experienced trauma and how best to avoid the dangers of exposing them to re-traumatization.  Recognizing that mindfulness interventions are safer and more effective when paired with an understanding of trauma, participants will broaden their ability to view children and families through a trauma-informed lens.
