SUMMARY:Community Care Licensing Information Meeting with the Child Care Advocate
DESCRIPTION:Mastering Annual Inspections: Licensing Perspective on CARE\, Trending Violations\, Complaints\, and Appeals \nThis workshop offers a comprehensive and insightful look into the critical aspects of licensing compliance for program operators. \nAttendees will gain a deeper understanding of the annual inspection process from the licensing authority’s viewpoint\, learning what to expect and how to prepare effectively. We will delve into the CARE tool\, providing clarity on Capacity and Ratio requirements and how to accurately apply them to ensure compliance. \nA portion of the session will focus on trending violations\, analyzing common deficiencies identified during inspections. This data-driven insight will help programs proactively identify and address potential issues before they become formal violations. \nFurthermore\, the workshop will equip participants with strategies to logically interpret and respond to narratives often shared about licensing visits\, fostering a more informed and less reactive approach. We will clarify complaint expectations—how they are initiated\, investigated\, and the program’s role in the process—and provide a clear roadmap for navigating the appeals process\, should the need arise. \nBy the end of this workshop\, participants will be better prepared to approach annual inspections with confidence\, proactively manage compliance\, and effectively handle licensing interactions\, ultimately contributing to smoother operations and positive outcomes. \nREGISTER HERE
