Children on the autism spectrum have incredible strengths and unique ways of experiencing the world. Often, what challenges their ability to learn is not a lack of skill or intelligence, but difficulty regulating their bodies and emotions. This workshop explores the power of observation and how educators can attune to each child’s needs to foster connection, regulation, and learning.

Learning Objectives:
1) Participants will be able to apply techniques to attune to each child’s individual sensory, emotional, and behavioral needs.
2) Participants will be able to plan intentional learning experiences that integrate opportunities for regulation and engagement.
3) Participants will be able to reflect on their own responses and strategies to better support children’s regulation and learning.
