DESCRIPTION:Early identification of social-emotional challenges can make all the difference to a young child. With the typical ups and downs of young children’s emotions and behavior\, delays or problems can be easily missed. As more children are increasingly exposed to risk factors such as poverty or toxic stress\, the likelihood of depression\, anxiety\, and antisocial behavior increases. The earlier a behavioral concern is identified\, the greater the chance a child has for reaching his or her full potential in life. \nLearning Objectives\nParticipants will learn how the use of the ASQ:SE-2:\n• Helps providers and parents celebrate children’s emerging social-emotional skills and uncover potential issues as early as possible\n• Clearly identifies children who should be monitored and rescreened\n• Helps to promote strong social-emotional skills crucial to school readiness\n• Increases family engagement with new parent handouts and activities \nTo participate in this training:\n• You must be able to turn on audio and video from the device you are using\n• Register early so that materials can be mailed to you. \nREGISTER HERE \nTraining materials will not be mailed out after Friday\, 19 September.
