Before reading, children need strong preliminary skills before we ask them to decode, “read” words. Join us for a ‘camera-on’ hands on-workshop. Participants will learn and have an opportunity to practice pre-reading skills and strategies for preschoolers. The strategies taught are hands on, low to minimal cost, engaging and effective!
Learning Objectives:
1) Pre-reading skills sequence.
2) Understand the difference between phonological awareness and phonemic awareness.
3) Learn hands on games to phonological awareness and how to support multi-age grouping.
