June 21st: Self-Regulation
Self-regulation is the key to effectively working with young kids and really anyone! Getting to know our emotions, and how to handle them when they feel like they can take over is an essential skill. Although we don’t give it much credit! The good news is that we can train our brain to form more self regulation.
June 28th: Emotion Coaching
We all have emotions! And it can be confusing to know what or how to manage them. Emotion Coaching provides parent’s/adults/caregivers with tools to support kids in processing and expressing emotions. The skill of knowing how we feel, how others feel, and how to manage our feelings leads to high Emotional Intelligence which is a great predictor of satisfaction in relationships, work, and positive well being.
