Grief and loss are universal experiences that deeply impact children’s lives, requiring specialized support and understanding. This training is tailored for professionals, caregivers, and educators seeking to enhance their capacity to support children navigating the complex terrain of grief. Through an interactive and informative approach, participants will delve into the multifaceted aspects of childhood grief, exploring its emotional, psychological, and physical dimensions.

Participants will gain insights into the unique manifestations of grief in children, learning to recognize and respond to the diverse ways in which children express their feelings. The training will equip attendees with effective strategies for creating nurturing environments where children feel safe to process their emotions and find healing. From age-appropriate communication techniques to therapeutic interventions, participants will acquire a toolkit of practical skills to support children through their grief journey.

The material will be delivered by PowerPoint presentation, short video clips, group discussion, breakout (small group) discussions and participant workbook (handout).

2) Develop skills for creating a supportive environment conducive to healing, where children feel safe to express their emotions and explore their grief journey.
