Come join Hively staff and our trainer Colette Katuala, LCSW, owner of Focused Clinical Solutions with over 20 years of experience in public child welfare, for this training!
Children under the age of five are the most vulnerable to be victims of child abuse and neglect. To promote healthy development, well- being, including positive sexuality, child care professionals, clinicians, and those working with preschool children, must be aware of behaviors that are typical to that developmental stage and behaviors that may warrant supportive services.
By the end of this course, those who work with, and around preschool children will be able to differentiate between normative and worrisome behaviors that may be indicative of child abuse, including sexual abuse; how adult attitudes of those behaviors impact abuse detection and how to have effective conversations with children to better recognize the signs of child abuse and neglect.
