Child Care Means Business 201- Session #3: Record Keeping

Prospective Licensees, newly licensed Family Home Child Care Providers, and Family Home Child Care Providers new to keeping Child Care related records are invited to learn about the importance of choosing a recordkeeping system and maintaining fiscal documents and records, including:

• Creating a plan to tracking expenses

• Tracking Receipts, Income, and Expenses

• Registering Your Family Home Child Care Business Name

• Deductible Expenses

• The importance of accurately figuring Time & Space Percentage

Learning Objectives:

• Participants will become familiar with creating a plan for tracking program Income, Expenses, Receipts, and Deductions.

• Participants will become familiar with identifying non-deductible and deductible expenses.

• Participants will become familiar with Time-Space Percentage.

Participants who complete this training will receive a copy of Tom Copeland’s Record Keeping Guide in a digital or hard copy format.
