The Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS®) is a tool that measures and supports teachers’ and family child care providers’ interactions with young children. The Instructional Support Essentials for Teachers training will help participants to build a lens to identify effective Instructional Support interactions and apply this lens to their own teaching practices. Training participants will watch real classroom videos illustrating effective interactions, use CLASS language to describe effective Instructional Support interactions and explain why they are important to children’s development. This training is focused on PreK CLASS. It is highly recommended that participants have prior knowledge of the PreK CLASS tool.

*PLEASE NOTE: – Registration is limited and will close upon reaching the capacity. We will contact you two weeks prior to the training to further confirm your attendance so that we can mail training material to you. A valid, unique email address is required. Teachstone, the creators of the CLASS tool, will email all participants a welcome email and the training link. Attendees who participate in the entire training will receive a certificate from Teachstone. A 30 minute lunch break is included.

For an optimal virtual training experience, please note the following:

• Participants will need access to high-speed internet. The minimum speed is 600kbps, however 1.5Mbps is recommended.
• Participating on a computer is best however, a tablet may also be used. Training or participating on a phone is not allowed.
• For a more interactive experience, participants are encouraged to use video.
