Understanding the impacts of trauma on young children and adopting trauma-informed practices, equips early childcare providers for the critical role they play in supporting the well-being and healthy development of all children, particularly those who have experienced adversity. This training will delve into behavioral, physical, and social indicators of trauma, and provide practical strategies and approaches for implementing trauma-informed care in early childhood settings. Participants will learn how to identify signs of distress, create safe and nurturing environments, build trusting relationships with children and families, and incorporate predictable routines and structures to support children affected by trauma.
Learning Objectives:
1) Participants will be able to identify behavioral, physical, and social indicators of trauma in young children, enabling early recognition and intervention.
