Sierra Prine (they/them/theirs) is a Marriage and Family Therapist Trainee and is enrolled in the Master’s in Counseling program at Palo Alto University. They have six years of experience in the mental health field, focusing on intake and care coordination within a psychotherapy group practice and a nonprofit community mental health clinic.
Sierra draws upon a diverse personal and professional background working with individuals with ADHD, trauma, and those from LGBTQIA+ populations. Their integrative approach incorporates psychodynamic, person-centered, and existential theories, among others. They incorporate evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy and dialectical behavioral therapy, prioritizing collaboration and maintaining each client's autonomy to empower them to make positive changes in their lives.
Outside of the office, Sierra is usually spending time with family (preferably outside in nature), pretending they're still a film major, or attending concerts.
